Go through it first to make sure everything is operating properly and to spec. Don't know how many miles are on it but make sure air filters are clean, throttle(sp!)bodies are clean, injectors are clean, good plugs, timng adjusted, etc. Once you have it what it should be to begin with, then spend the bucks to upgrade. And as a fellow NA owner, do not let those of the "dark side" tempt you. It's not how fast you can go in a straight line but whether you have the driving skills to turn the corner that makes life exciting!
